What is the process?
These are flexible sessions tailored to your needs regarding the development of empathy skills. This may include receiving and practicing empathy, skills training for empathetic listening and expression, and conflict processing.
What is the length and cost of the session?
Sessions are 50 minutes and $40 per session
What does it mean to "offer empathy"?
Offering empathy refers to the process through which you are heard. It involves a flow of making observations and tapping into possible feelings and needs present in any given situation.
What does empathy do?
Empathy gives you the experience of being heard. It also creates the space for you to gain clarity about your own feelings and needs and the feelings and needs of the other person as it relates to the situation that you are sharing.
How do I book a session?
Click on the Book-Available Sessions button. You will see a calendar. Choose an available date and scroll down to see available times. Click on the time that you'd like to register for. You will be prompted to sign up with your name and email address. Then, you will be asked to sign a waiver and pay using a debit/credit card.
What happens after I book a session?
You will receive an email confirmation and Zoom link. You will have the opportunity to respond to the email to share more specific information about your needs for the session. I will look forward to meeting with you!
Are these sessions confidential?
I hold all content during these sessions as strictly confidential except as required by law.
How is this different from counseling?
Growing Empathy coaching is not counseling and I am not a licensed counselor. Coaching focuses on forward movement, growth, and development which may follow or coincide with counseling which is focused on healing from past issues.
How do I cancel or reschedule a session?
You may cancel and receive a full refund for your session up to an hour before the session begins. Click the link on your registration email to go to the registration page. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Cancel Registration button. To reschedule please cancel the session and schedule a new session using the Book-Available Sessions button above.
